Inbreeding ancestors
Ancestor
Ancestors present on both paternal and materal side in the pedigree
Cross
A description of where in the pedigree the ancestor appears. The figures are generation numbers. Parenthesis are used to
delimit paternal and maternal sides. Underlined figures indicates that the ancestor is present through a daughter, overlined
figures indicates that the ancestor is present through a son.
Partial inbreeding coefficient
This is the inbreeding coefficient that follows the inbreeding to this ancestor.
Note: It is not possible to calculate total inbreeding coefficient simply by summarizing the partial coefficients. That will double count some crosses and in addition the ancestors own inbreeding coefficient must be taken into account.
